Alison's b-day and Halloween

Alison is now 11. Wow! She is begging to pierce her ears (I am sticking to 12 for that) and starting to roll her eyes but overall still the sweetest thing around. She got a surf board for her birthday which she has had tons of fun on so far. She should get some lessons this Sat. if the waves are good. We invited our neighbors over for dinner since Alison decided to stay home. We let our kids pick a restaurant to eat at for their birthday but with just Taco Bell, Subway, Pizza Hut, and McDonalds to choose from Alison chose a home cooked meal. We made our famous Wingers Wings. Alison got her favorite cake (I am so glad I found it), a cinnamon crumb cake. She said it was the best day she has had since we have been here. Yeah!

Halloween has now come and gone. Thank goodness. I am so sick of candy. The kids got to dress up for the trunk or treat on Thursday, party at Turtle Bay Saturday, school parade on Monday, and then Monday night. By Monday night Isaac didn't really even want to dress up. Everyone but Grant decided to be a different person everytime they dressed up. Here is Halloween night but we also had a power ranger, Cleopatra, and Princess. It was so fun to have a warm night to treat-or-treat in. The kids didn't have to cover up the costumes. The boy in the picture is a boy that just moving into our ward last week so we invited him to come with us that night.
