Gross, gross, gross!!
This morning I woke up, got the kids up and started to prepare some waffles for breakfast. I went to the wheat bucket on the floor to get flour to grind for the waffles. On top of the wheat bucket was a little larva. I thought, where did that come from and looked around to see if there were more. At this point I finally looked at the floor. There were hundreds of them crawling around at my bare feet. Eww. Needless to say, I stayed put and called for reinforcements. For the next 10 mins, all of us worked together to kill all of these big fat larva (we think from flies) from our kitchen and living room. A couple had made it all the way down the hall to the laundry room. After Jared and the kids left, I cleaned and picked up more for another hour before I think I got them all. Once again I am thankful for tile floors. They were coming out of the garbage. Now I know that the garbage need to be taken out everyday even if it is not full. I am still cringing from the grossness of it.

Oh, Yikes!! So sorry.
Same thing happened to us in the other house. Except by the time we got to them, they had already turned into flies. Yuck!
Was that your other house in Rexburg? So you had to kill all the flies. The flies are so fast here. I can hardly ever kill them. It never gets cold enough to make the lethargic.
Sorry. Yes it was are first house in Rexburg. We left for Bear Lake and when we came back our raisin buckets (in the pantry) were crawling with them (flies and a few larvae). We had to throw the raisins out. It took my dad forever to kill of them. We all hid in our bedrooms until they were all gone. It was quite the experience. Oh, and by the way the first comment (that I made) and this one are from Tanner. I am just helping my mom out:)
We love to hear from you as well Tanner. Alison read your blog today and was happy to see how you guys are doing.
Minor detail...I had left a package of raw ground beef in a plastic bag with raisins (and transfered into a bucket for long-term storage) from the grocery store for a very long time before realizing what I had done. Total grossness - Aaron's department for sure! Good job and good luck! (Heather, this time:))
